Generally speaking, Portugal is hot pretty much all-year round with some colder spells during the winter.

How Many Days in Faro?

In general, Faro is a pretty small town within the Algarve so you won’t need to spend too much time there to be able to make the most of it.

If you’re looking for a relaxing break away then you may want to spend a week or two. This is so that you can leisurely wander around, enjoy the beach, sunbathe and of course drink plenty of cocktails.

The Old Tavern, one of our favourite restaurants in Faro. You can see the beautiful cobblestones that make up Faro and then the tables outside for the Old Tavern.

You will be able to see the majority of the sights in this short period of time so Faro is perfect for a weekend trip. For anyone that wants to enjoy more of a relaxing pace, we would suggest spending around 4-5 days in Faro. This is especially if you’re planning to take a trip to the infamous Benagil Caves.
