Hurghada used to be a fishing village but it has now turned into a tourist hotspot. It has a population of around 248,000 people and is split into 5 sections: El Ahia and El Helal (northern), El Dahar (downtown), Sakala (the city), El Kawsar (modern area) and El Mamsha (the village road). El Mamsha is a section all on it’s own even though it is just a road because it spans over 2.5 miles in length.
