What Boat Trips Can I Go On From Hurghada?

If you’re still on the fence on whether a boat trip from Hurghada is worth it then these are the types of trips that you can look forward to.

When we visited Hurghada, we actually found it really hard to decide which boat trip we wanted to go on from Hurghada purely because there was so much choice! If we could do our time in Hurghada again, we would actually do more boat trips to be honest!

Paradise Island Boat Trips

This was one of our favourite days when we went to Hurghada because it was such a unique experience and we got to make so many memories together. Paradise Island is definitely worth visiting for a fun day out and to see a different side to Hurghada.

Paradise Island takes around 40 – 45 minutes to reach from Hurghada on your standard group boat trips. If you are arranging a speedboat trip then it can take as little as 15 minutes.

Boat trips to Paradise Island usually include your return transfers from your hotel to the port, return trip to the island, fees to enter the island, lunch and a snorkelling tour.

On Paradise Island, there are lots of little props throughout the island to take plenty of Instagrammable photos. This was one of the things that we loved the most about this boat trip from Hurghada is that we had a reason to take lots of photos together and capture those beautiful memories.

After hopping back on the boat, we were taken to a few different spots to enjoy some snorkelling. We did visit Hurghada in December and it was quite windy and chilly so we did only last so long in the winter! With this in mind, definitely research the best time to visit Hurghada before planning your boat trips!

Below we’ve shared different ways that you can visit Paradise Island from Hurghada depending on the time you have available and your budget.

Orange Island Boat Trips

Even if you’ve visited Paradise Island, Orange Bay Island is also a paradise itself and is another island that you’ll want to tick off your bucket list!

This was an island that we didn’t have time to visit ourselves and it is one of our biggest regrets. It is truly beautiful and luxurious that it’s definitely another one for your Instagram. It’s truly a romantic experience from Hurghada that any couple will love!

From Orange Bay Island, you will be able to enjoy kayaking or a banana boat and make plenty of memories together on the beautiful clear waters of the Red Sea.

Multiple Islands Boat Trips

If you can’t decide between which islands to visit then don’t worry, we’ve got you because there are plenty of amazing boat trips where you can combine the islands! Believe it or not, you can go on a boat trip to visit 6 different islands!

These combined boat trips around the Red Sea are a great way to explore and see the beauty that each island has to offer.

The 6 island trip will take you to Giftun Island (Paradise Island), Nemo Bay Island, Orange Bay, Magawish Island, Juzur Abu Monqar Island and a visit to a Sandbank island too!

If you’re lucky, on one of these trips you may even get to see dolphins too! We were sadly not lucky to see dolphins but if you want higher chances to see them then make sure you look at a tour that includes a visit to Dolphin House.

Scuba Diving Boat Trips

We are scuba divers ourselves so these are the type of boat trips that we would lean more towards. Sadly, at the time we visited Hurghada, Liam wasn’t trained to scuba dive and we didn’t have enough time to add in his open-water course when we were there.

Thankfully, Liam got his open-water in Thailand and we also both did our advanced open-water in Phuket too so next time we visit Hurghada, we are so excited to dive in the Red Sea.

The Red Sea has so much beautiful marine life to offer and many amazing dive sites in Hurghada. Whether you’re looking to learn to dive or you’re already qualified, it is an amazing location to enjoy the wonders of the Red Sea.

For our travellers that are a bit more boujee than ourselves, there are also plenty of boat trips in Hurghada Egypt that are either private or a bit more luxurious.

The private boat trips are really great for celebrating special occasions or large groups travelling together and add that extra special touch to your trip to Hurghada.

For the more luxury boat trips from Hurghada, these can include added extras such as massages or upgraded lunch, vip slots at the islands or to have your own crew, chef and guide too.

Taking Boat Trips from Hurghada Egypt

No matter what boat trip you decide on in Hurghada, you will have an amazing time especially as the islands around Hurghada have a lot to offer.

When we visited, Paradise Island was a personal favourite of ours and one that we think that you shouldn’t miss. For anyone that is a scuba diver or wanting to learn to scuba dive, Hurghada is one of the ultimate places to do this because it is absolutely teaming with life!

If you only have limited time in Hurghada then you may want to do a speedboat tour to some of the islands instead. This is a much quicker way to get there and smaller boats too.
